      "description": "In 2009, in connection with the Sotheby's Photographs auction (sale N08533, New York), Sun & Rain Works consigned an Ansel Adams photograph, 'San Francisco from Twin Peaks' (lot 16), and designates its engagement with that auction as a Metaconceptual Art work, after the logic of the readymade. The auction was carried out by Sotheby's; the artistic act is Sun & Rain Works' designation, asserted by the artist and made explicit over time. This is not a publicly witnessed live-creation event and carries no adjudicated priority claim; the catalogue does not name Sun & Rain Works. Two associated works accompany the gesture: www.wtfisart.com and WTF is Ansel Adams. Supporting records (2008 Sotheby's correspondence, the public lot, receipts, photographs) are held by the studio; selected evidence can be promoted to public as redaction and rights review are completed."
