Curatorial statement

The Site As Meta-Museum

Metaconceptual Art proposes that the artwork includes the system that makes it legible. The page, archive, citation, image, institution, and viewer are not secondary to the work. They are part of its active form.

The public website is the current meta-museum layer, not the origin of the practice. Sun & Rain Works was established in 2005, Metaconceptual Art was created as a movement in 2007, and 2009 receipts and metadata are treated as early-work evidence. The 2026 linked-data layer makes selected records public, citable, and machine-readable.
